Frequently Asked Renovation Questions
Do you provide support in selecting items for our home, like showers, faucets and paint colours?
Our staff will work with you in being sure that you select quality products for your home that will also be aesthetically pleasing. When your job is originally quoted, it is done by using the same or similar fixtures/accessories as you have on the upper floors. We can provide you with an item checklist to pick products at local retailers if the customer chooses to have a different look on the renovated or developed area. This will allow you time to select the finishes and products that you want on your home. We want to minimize additional stress and trips to various showrooms so if you need us to bring you samples, that is what we will do.
Do you apply for permits?
We typically apply for permits but clients have also requested to provide permits for us.
Do you provide engineering services if requested?
We have excellent relationships with engineers and can attain the services for various jobs as required.
Why do the prices of contractors vary so much?
Most times we are bidding against professional companies that have been in business for many years, most have journeyman trades who know their job and are more expensive to employ. We don’t mind as we have the confidence that our prices and service will surpass any jack of all trade that outbid us. Always check the company you are hiring! Google is amazing for additional company information.
Will you clean up when you complete the job?
Cleanup is a very important part of our job. The staff at Do It All Contracting makes every effort to keep your basement or renovation project tidy. Before flooring is installed, all areas are thoroughly vacuumed. Some fine dust may be evident in the days following the completion of the job. On the completion of a job, the new area will be vacuumed and finishes will be wiped. Upon completion of a basement development or renovation, customers should immediately book a furnace cleaning to ensure that all dust is removed from the premises. We can also schedule furnace cleaners upon request.
